Tattoo Removal
What is it?
Laser tattoo removal consists of pulses of high-intensity laser energy which pass through the epidermis and are selectively absorbed by the tattoo pigment. The laser breaks the pigment into smaller particles, which may be metabolized or excreted by the body.
How does it work?
When the laser is applied to the tattooed skin, the pigments in the ink begin to heat up. Tattoo ink needs to be heated at a very high temperature to shatter. The laser system features a sophisticated technology that effectively breaks down ink without scarring. The laser system features a short laser pulse that lasts only for a nanosecond. Because the laser pulse is so brief, the power is high enough to shatter the ink but the skin is not damaged.
