Fat Freeze Cryolipoysis
What is it?
Cryolipolysis, commonly referred to as fat freezing, is a noninvasive, nonsurgical fat reduction procedure used on visible fat bulges. Most common areas where fat freezing can be helpful are found under the chin, under the jawline, thighs, abdomen, back fat, underneath the buttock (the banana roll), and upper arms.
How does it work?
During the procedure, your trained practitioner vacuums the skin above the area of fatty tissue into an applicator that cools the fat cells. The cold temperature numb the site as it also begins to break down fat cells. Fat cells are more affected by cold temperatures than other cells. This means that the cold does not damage other cells, such as the skin or underlying tissue.
After the procedure, it may take 4-6 months for the fat cells to leave a person’s body. In that time, the area of fat will decrease by an average of 20%.
